And it was finished... Almost

I am putting this post up to link to Jennifer Junipers party. And Miss Mustard Seeds Furniture Feature Friday!  Thanks for the invite Jennifer. This woman is 'uh-lare-ee-us as my 3 yr old says. I especially loved her Birds and the Bees saga- seriously I almost peed my pants. But enough- heres the deal. My chair, THe chair, the Abe Lincoln chair as a buddy called it, is ALMOST done. I have upholstered all but the piping on the arm rests. It will have to wait because I need to go to the grocery and do my car pull duties... Here she is in all her glory. Her 'I was made in 1926 by Thomasville, still had the original tags and fabirc' remade glory.

Do you think she feels better?

I must say once it was done (almost) I thought of white wood, and khaki upholstery, OR ticking stripe piping... OR cream wood, and a pattern... But seriously- this is fine for now. I made sure that while she is durable, the pipinbg will come off somewhat easily.

Ah- that splash of color is so much better! Like Noodle the sheepadoodles bear?

Here is the before in case you missed it...

I used a low melt glue gun, staple gun, and regular old machine and presser foot(yes, even for double piping!) I have never reupholstered anything beyond a dining chair cover- which does not count if you ask me! Okay- off to get some kids from school!
